This position assists in maintaining production equipment as well as facility and plant grounds. This position is closely monitored by a senior maintenance technician and/or maintenance manager. This position may be required to work overtime including weekends with minimal notice.
Duties:
· Responsible for sustaining, production process equipment for all products within the facility.
· Responsible for supporting mechanical logistics to implement new equipment and processes.
· Responsible for reduction in downtime.
· Responsible for sustaining and maintaining the facility – building, water, lighting, electrical needs, HVAC, and plant grounds.
· Other duties assigned by management include working on shop floor during times needed and basic housekeeping of the facility.
Qualifications:
· High School Education
Specific skills:
· Must possess excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
· Should be goal oriented, confident, outgoing, and able to work well under pressure
· Must be able to work independently and demonstrate effective initiative.
· Must be able to do light fabrication with metal, and wood.
· Must have good computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Must have mechanical/electrical skills.
· Must be able to lift approximately 50 pounds.
· Must be able to pass written test regarding maintenance questions.
