**Note: Do not use on wet, damp, frozen or contaminated surfaces. Not paintable. Not for use in underwater applications, aquariums, on brick, masonry, cementitious materials or on metals sensitive to corrosion including brass & galvanized metals. For general auto/marine applications – not for under hood or direct gasoline exposure.

 

TO OPEN: Cut nozzle at 45° angle to desired bead size. Puncture inner foil seal.

TO USE: All surfaces should be clean and free of dirt, grease, oil and old sealant. For gaps larger than ½ inch use backer rod. Best if applied above 40°F (5°C).

  1. Insert into cartridge gun.
  2. Apply sealant, pushing bead ahead of nozzle.
  3. Smooth bead immediately after application, before a skin forms.

30 MINUTE RAIN/SHOWER READY: Can be exposed to water in as little as 30 minutes based on a 3/16” bead at 70°F (21°C) and 50% humidity. Otherwise, wait 24 hrs.

CLEAN-UP: Wipe wet sealant off project immediately with a dry cloth. Isopropyl alcohol may be used according to solver manufacturer’s instructions.

STORAGE: Store in cool, dry location with nozzle attached. To re-use product, remove nozzle and clean out cured sealant from the tip.

Is the nozzle reusable?

Yes. Let sealant cure in nozzle completely and then remove cured sealant manually.

Can Gorilla Sealant be used as an adhesive?

Yes, Gorilla Sealant can be used as an adhesive for light duty applications. For heavy duty applications, we would recommend Gorilla Construction Adhesive.

Will Gorilla Sealant bond plastic/vinyl/rubber?

Gorilla Sealant may be used on PVC pipes, but not in high-pressure applications. Gorilla Sealant may not work well on certain difficult to bond plastics, such as polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), or certain types of rubber with high oil or plasticizer content.

Is Gorilla Sealant food safe?

Gorilla Sealant is compliant for incidental food contact per FDA 21CFR177.2600.

How do I remove Gorilla Sealant from my surface?

To clean surface while Sealant is still wet/uncured, wipe off wet sealant immediately with a dry cloth. Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) may be used according to manufacturer’s instructions. For cured/dried sealant use mechanical means such as scraping or sanding.

How do I remove Gorilla Sealant from body/skin?

We strongly recommend wearing gloves while working on any project using Gorilla Silicone Sealants. If you do get sealant on your fingers or nails please follow these steps:
1) Wipe off as much sealant as possible with a dry cloth.
2) When most of the sealant is removed from fingers, wash hands with soap and warm water.
3) If sealant is cured, carefully rub or roll adhesive off of fingers.
