how to build a Travertine-Style Table Without Breakng The bank

Supplies Needed
Pro Tips
  • Build it close to where you want it - this table is extrememly heavy when finished.
  • Tape while curing, don't disturb. 24 hours to full strength.
  • Safety note: Closed-toe shoes required. Tiles are heavy - have a helper if you can.

instructions

1. Place Your First Tile Face-Down

Carefully lift the second and third tiles and standthem up, so they’re vertical and perpendicular to the floor.

2. Plan Your Legs

Mark where you want the V of your table legs to be positioned.

3. Apply Gorilla Heavy Duty construction Adhesive

Apply a generous, even bead of Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive along the lines you just drew.

4. Press the tiles Into Place

For additional support, add another bead of adhesive along the seam.

5. Apply Adhesive to the Top of the "V"

Apply another generous bead of Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive along the edge surface of the V-shaped base formed by the two leg tiles.

6. Place the Fourth Tile on Top

Carefully lift the fourth paver and lay it flat on top of the V-base, ensuring:

  • ✔ It is centered equally — same overhang on both sides
  • ✔ It is sitting level and stable
  • ✔ The overall structure looks balanced from all angles

7. Secure While Drying

Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive remains workable for a short window, so:

  • Double-check alignment and adjust immediately if needed
  • Use painter's tape to hold pavers in position if they feel like they're shifting
  • Do not move, touch, or disturb the table while the adhesive cures

⏱️ Allow 24 hours of full cure time before moving the table or applying any pressure to it for maximum strength.
