Gorilla Ultimate Sealant is even faster — water-ready in 15 minutes and paint-ready in 30 minutes. Cure time increases in cooler temperatures, higher humidity, or with larger bead sizes.

Gorilla Ultimate Sealant is the only formula in the line that's paintable — ready for paint in just 30 minutes. It also achieves water-ready in 15 minutes (vs. 30 for the 100% Silicone line) and carries the highest flexibility rating: ASTM C-920 Class 50, compared to Class 35 for the standard formulas. Silicone sealants offer superior flexibility, waterproofing, and temperature resistance compared to latex or acrylic caulks. Yes — the cured sealant itself is resistant to mold. Clean regularly with soap and water to prevent growth on top of sealant. The Kitchen & Bath, Window & Door, and Ultimate formulas carry a lifetime mold resistance claim.
Use a utility knife or caulk removal tool to score and peel away old sealant. Remove residue with isopropyl alcohol. The surface must be completely clean, dry, and residue-free before applying Gorilla 100% Silicone for maximum adhesion. Don't skip this step — old sealant is the number one cause of new sealant failure.
Do not use on wet, damp, or frozen surfaces. Not suitable for underwater or aquarium applications, brick, masonry, or cementitious materials, or metals sensitive to corrosion including brass and galvanized metals. Always test compatibility on unusual substrates before full application.
